Brian P. Callahan, Esq.
Brian P. Callahan, Esq. is a graduate of Fordham Law School and Marquette University, and was admitted to the bar of the State of New York in 1975. Brian is also admitted to the United States District Court, and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Commencing his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, New York, Brian progressed through the Grand Jury, Trial and Appeals Bureaus. Brian served as an associate in the house counsel offices of AIG and Kemper Insurance, and as a partner in a regional defense firm, focusing on the defense of premises, labor law matters, and municipal matters. Prior to joining the firm, Brian was the Bureau Chief of the General Litigation Bureau for Suffolk County. Under his guidance the Bureau, which developed from six (6) attorneys to eleven (11) attorneys, was charged with representing the County of Suffolk in complex litigation matters commenced by or against Suffolk County in federal and state courts, as well as administrative and trial forums such as the EEOC, public employment arbitration, article 78 challenges and class action challenges to local laws and practice. As an accomplished attorney with over seventy-five (75) verdicts, Brian continues his focus on the defense to tort litigation, with an emphasis on labor law, construction and premises matters.
